Your ability to focus on the task at hand, to eliminate or destroy all distractions, creates the ‘space’ for all your goals to come true. Whatever your goals are as long as they are congruent, with each one supporting the others, are all possible. Goals in alignment are focused. Confused goals may sound good but prevent success. A confused mind always does nothing. Focus your goals and focus your mind.
In the beginning eliminating distractions, staying on task is difficult especially for those who have been bamboozled into believing people can or should multi-task. Break your goals into small achievable steps. Produce a day calendar that supports the accomplishment of your goals.
I recommend replacing your ‘To Do’ list with three lists. A ‘Doing Now’ list that anything placed on it gets done now. Assign the time and get it done. A ‘Not Doing Now’ list holds what needs to get done but you cannot commit it to ‘Doing Now.’ Assign the date you put it on the list. If it does not move to your ‘Doing Now’ list in a reasonable time period put it on your ‘Never Doing Now List’ where all great ideas and distractions end up. You may want to review this list once in awhile but let it hold all your great ideas until you are going to do them now.
